Back in 2006, the initial objective of the Fitness For You staff was to produce a fun and safe event for members and friends. Obviously raising money for the foundation was a goal but initially, even if they could educate… than that would suffice. Nonetheless, knowing that one day it would be the start of something bigger. That is was.
Little did anyone imagine what an impact the Merrimack Valley community and friends across the nation would make, to everyone. The past 5 Fitness For You Invitational golf tournaments have been able to DONATE UPWARDS OF $133,000 towards Scleroderma research. The sun was shining once again for the 5th Annual, (held this past June), and we are proud to announce that the 2010 FFY tournament was such a success, it will be able to donate $25,000! The funds raised from this year’s event will be allocated to both Scleroderma research studies conducted by Dr. Robert Lafyatis, (Boston University Medical Center), and the Scleroderma Foundation, New England Chapter.
Fitness For You, Inc. would like to specifically thank the volunteers, health club members, participants, friends, and those continuously contributing each year, especially…

Since 2007, The 24 Hour Spin-a-thon has been able to donate upwards of $47,000 to fund the efforts of ALS research and quality patient care.
This amazing outdoor fundraiser has only been made a reality because of the kindness and generosity of not only the Merrimack Valley Community but those across the nation.
Fitness For You is honored to hold an event, such as this, in memory of Fran “Mooch” Muccio. A devoted husband, father, son, and dear friend to many, including FFY.
This year, all proceeds from the 24 hour spin-a-thon will benefit the Leonard Florence Center FOR LIVING (Chelsea, Ma). In partnership with the Massachusetts Chapter of the ALS Association, The Leonard Florence Center presents America’s only permanent residence dedicated to caring for individuals living with ALS
