Fitness For You - Our Personal Trainers

Donny Waldron, Head Trainer/ General Manager

The personal training staff at Fitness For You Gym is headed by Donald T. Waldron. Donny boasts an impressive resume that includes over 25 years of experience in the health and fitness industry.

 Having worked in various positions from aerobics instructor to fitness director and general manager, Donny holds several certifications in personal training from such national associations as the American College Sports Medicine, National Strength and Conditioning Association, and the National Association of Sports Medicine.   Donny graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology from the University of New Hampshire, where he was a member of the Men’s Crew Team.  He also holds a certificate of teaching in health education and a minor in athletic training and coaching. Fitness For You members of all ages and abilities benefit from Donny’s vast array of knowledge.

In addition to his extensive personal training schedule, Donny also ensures that everyone, from staff to clientele, has a positive experience at Fitness For You Gym through his role as F.F.Y.’s general manager. “Customer service is what really sets us apart from everyone else,” Donny says. “We only get one chance when we meet someone to make a good impression, that impression can make all the difference.”

Donny is an avid sports enthusiast. A former collegiate athlete himself, Donny enjoys competing in a variety of athletics. When not working with clients or performing one of his many other duties, Donny likes to spend any free time with his wife, Tricia, and their children: Abby, Brody and Chloe Elizabeth.

Charlene Morin, Personal Trainer / Group Fitness Director

If any member of Fitness For You Gym is looking for a tough but equally fun workout, then he or she needs to look no further than Charlene Morin.  Charlene carries an enthusiasm for health and fitness that is “infectious” to all those who work with her.

Prior to joining Fitness For You Gym’s staff, Charlene worked for a regional chain of health clubs in the Salem, New Hampshire area. Serving as both a personal trainer and Assistant Fitness Director, Charlene did everything from train clients of all abilities to design, implement, and teach group fitness programs. Charlene has taught a variety of classes including everything from intense spinning to gentle yoga to the Les Mills trademark program, BODYPUMP®. She assumes a similar, yet even more challenging, role here in North Andover.

As Group Fitness Director at Fitness For You Gym, Charlene has concocted a group exercise schedule that is unmatchable in both its diversity of programs and caliber of instructors. As a franchisee of the Les Mills name, Charlene and Fitness For You Gym bring to us the internationally recognized aerobics classes of BODYPUMP®, BODYSTEP®, and the just-introduced BODYVIVE®. Operating under the philosophy that any person of any age or ability can participate in group fitness, Charlene creates an effective yet non-intimidating schedule of classes.

A native of New Hampshire, Charlene began working in the health and fitness industry at age 19. She received her bachelor’s degree in Fitness and Leisure Studies from the University of New Hampshire, and holds multiple certifications, including her personal trainer certificate, through The National Academy of Sports Medicine and the American Council on Exercise.  

Charlene resides in Salem, NH with her husband, Rob, and two children Shane and Haley. Outside of Fitness For You Gym, she is an active volunteer and administrator in Salem youth sports. Dancing, reading, and music are among some of Charlene’s other interests.

Dean Tridenti, Personal Trainer

Dean comes to Fitness For You Gym with over eight years experience in the fitness industry.   A 1997 graduate of Springfield College , Dean received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology and was also awarded academic All-American honors while serving as the Pride’s starting outside linebacker.  Dean then went on to study extensively under the National Academy of Sports Medicine and I.S.S.A.  He is also CPR, Infant CPR, First Aid, and Defib certified.

Dean’s background is primarily in strength and conditioning programs.  Through the years, Dean amassed extensive knowledge in health and wellness.  Using his psychology degree, Dean worked as a behavioral specialist, and then later found his niche in the fitness industry where then took a position as manager and personal trainer at a corporate wellness facility.  Dean holds a wide array of clients here at Fitness For You, ranging from pre-adolescent to the elderly and applies his knowledge when working with them.

A North Andover native himself, Dean was a stand out 3 sport athlete in high school where he played basketball, football, and track; and in 2007 was inducted into the North Andover High School Hall of Fame. Dean currently resides in Andover and enjoys spending time with family, friends, and girlfriend Christy.  He looks forward to working with you!

Stephen Lyle, Personal Trainer

Prior to joining the Fitness For You team in 2009, Steven served our great country as a Security Specialist in the United States Air Force.
Where he always lived a healthy and active lifestyle, Steve made the decision to make the health and wellness industry his paradigm in 2005.  It was then he completed his certifications for both the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) & the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and has made it his passionate career ever since.  He thrives off of helping others achieve higher levels of fitness and looks forward to working with you! 

Steven enjoys mountain biking, camping, and for the most part ANYTHING outdoors.  He currently resides in Lowell, MA.

Doreen Burliss, Personal Trainer

Doreen comes to North Andover’s Fitness For You Gym with ­­­20 years experience in the health and fitness field as both a trainer, coach and participant. In addition to her “regulars”, Doreen works with many of the gyms’ newest clients getting them set up on their introductory routines. She accomplishes all of this while still managing to find the time to train herself for the triathlons in which she competes.

Doreen received her personal training certification through International Sports Science Association (ISSA). She has worked with a variety of clients ranging from pre-natal women, elderly, and young children. She also spent eleven years as a gymnastics coach and another five years as a youth soccer coach. Regardless of a clients’ physical ability or fitness experience, any Fitness For You member that works with Doreen is guaranteed a thorough and effective program.

When not training herself or her clients, Doreen loves any and all outdoor activities. Whether it’s downhill skiing in Tahoe or whitewater rafting up in Maine, she loves all the challenges and excitement that Mother Nature can give her.  Doreen was a member of University of Vermont’s crew team where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Doreen and her husband Billy have three children: Cody, Madison, and Ryder.

Lisa DiLegro, Personal Trainer/Group Exercise  Instructor

Lisa comes to Fitness For You in North Andover with over twelve years of experience in the health and fitness industry. Whether it is on the gym floor with her personal training clients or up in the aerobics studio teaching one of a variety of classes, Lisa is Fitness For You’s “jack of all trades.”

Lisa received her personal training certification through the American College of Sports Medicine.  In addition to personal training, Lisa also holds multiple certifications for group exercise instruction. Certified through the globally renowned Les Mills International; Lisa teaches BODYPUMP®, BODYSTEP®, BODYVIVE®, BODYFLOW®, and YOGAFIT. As part of the Les Mills International Continuing Education requirements, Lisa keeps up to date on all of the latest instruction and choreography by participating in national and regional quarterly workshops to enhance her skills. She also holds her spinning instructor’s certificate through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFFA). 

When she is not at Fitness For You (which isn’t very often!), Lisa enjoys keeping active by running, roller-blading, biking, and hiking. She also enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog Chloe.
