GOLF TOURNAMENT HISTORY

The Fitness For You Invitational initiated in 2006 when Fitness For You, Inc. teamed up with the Scleroderma Foundation New England Chapter for a charity golf tournament. The tournament would be solely dedicated to stimulate research to improve treatment, find the cause, and ultimately discover the cure for Scleroderma and related diseases.  It also provides support for patients and their families and all those who deal with the daily effects of Scleroderma.

With the immense help and support of many, Fitness For You, Inc. was able to make their 2nd Annual Tournament nothing short of a successful one.  On the bright and sunny afternoon of June 18, 2007, supporters gathered for the 2nd Annual Fitness For You Invitational To Cure Scleroderma that was held at the Windham Country Club, Windham N.H.  Golf, gifts, prizes, auctions, lunch, dinner, cocktails and FUN was had by all!

Far exceeding any set goal, the 2nd Annual Fitness For You Invitational To Cure Scleroderma doubled last year’s tournament earnings.  This year’s tournament raised over $30,000 towards Scleroderma research for SFNE!

Fitness For You, Inc., is an exclusive health club located in North Andover, Massachusetts and is owned an operated by Elaine C. Schwager – who was recently elected to the Scleroderma Foundation Board of Directors – New England Chapter this past March. Listening to various health club member’s stories, personal experiences, and based on many first time individual and local business contributions, the 2007 F.F.Y. Invitational is not only accomplishing the enduring goal of raising money annually for SFNE but continues to increase awareness and educate the public.
